上映的第一天便看了這套戲。最初其實是被電影poster吸引。那顆士多啤梨很有吸引力。然後是戲名：
“故事大綱：來自英國利物浦的男孩朱特徒具繪畫天賦，為了生活只能在碼頭當工人，後來因尋找父親而遠度重洋，在美國普林斯頓大學認識了麥士和他美麗純潔的妹妹露茜。三人一同往紐約闖蕩，朱特與露茜更墮入愛河，他們無拘無束、自由奔放地戀愛，還積極地投身於反戰和反主流文化的運動，一同經歷心智飽受考驗的美國60年代。然而，面對來自外界的各種衝突及鎮壓，他倆無奈分開，各自走向不同的道路……天涯兜轉，老友重聚又砰然心動……“
整套戲由The Beatles的歌曲加上舞蹈組合而成。又是吸引我的其中一個原因。每次聽Beatles的歌都有份莫名想"un"的衝動，就算不細聽歌詞也充滿共鳴。戲中的反戰革命背景，輕輕滲出嬉皮士的味道，令整套戲更具色彩。而New York的背景又反影當時部份青年靡爛的生活態度。總之整套戲充斥著很多不同原素，看得出道演是一個有心人。細查之下，原來導演與編劇為同一人: Julie Taymor - 女性導演。了不起！為何Across the universe要用歌舞形式？我想這跟Julie Taymor的背景有莫大關係。詳情請看看http://www.achievement.org/autodoc/page/tay0bio-1。順帶一提，Lion King也是出自她的手筆。
題外話，我曾經一度懷疑這套戲的班底其中一員是Michel Gondry。
